The goal is to let the steam rise naturally and fill the space without creating hot zones that make it uncomfortable to sit or stand nearby. They should never be installed directly beneath the main controls or under seating, as the initial burst of steam can be intense. That heat comes out fast, and we prefer our clients relaxed, not roasted.
Then there’s the architecture of the space. Full-height glass doors and sealed joints are a must to trap the steam effectively. Ceiling design plays a quiet but important role—sloping it just slightly (1-2 inches per foot) ensures that condensation runs down the walls instead of dripping directly on your head.
